9. Digital rights allow libraries to provide patrons with seamless access to ebooks/other digital content

By 2025, the struggles over digital rights have been settled and work to the library’s favor! Libraries continue to loan digital content, but the barriers surrounding this lending have disappeared. Librarians now spend time doing activities beyond licensing and collection management; they are free to focus on the creation of tools to assist consumers in discovering relevant content. Library patrons are able to find and access digital materials, such as ebooks, without jumping through multiple hoops.
