Amanda Mills is a Faculty Librarian at Minneapolis Community and Technical College. In addition to reference, liaison and collection development work, she also teaches several sections of INFS 1000: Information Literacy & Research Skills, a semester-long, credit-bearing course. In Spring 2011, she will teach an additional INFS course, Alternative Knowledge. Prior to getting her MLIS, Amanda worked in Circulation at the Augsburg (2005-2008), St. Thomas (2001-2005) and Hamline University (1997-2001) libraries. Amanda believes there is a crucial need for more expansive information literacy education and is a member of the “Education and Information Literacy” focus area.
